Terms & Conditions - Rental Orders

  1. Identification: A valid South African ID document, ID card, or driver’s licence, along with proof of address, must be presented for all rental orders.
  2. Personal Information: Clients are required to provide two contact numbers and one physical address.
  3. Holding Deposit: A refundable cash holding deposit of R1600 is required.
  4. Payment: A 50% deposit is required for all rental orders. Orders will only be processed, and garments sourced, reserved, or altered once the deposit has been paid.
  5. Payment Terms: No garments will be released until full payment has been received.
  6. Measurements Supplied by Clients: Sarto Alia takes no responsibility for measurements supplied incorrectly by clients.
  7. Cancellations: A 50% cancellation fee will apply to the total invoice amount. Any remaining balance will be refunded. Orders may only be cancelled prior to collection. No refunds will be issued once garments have been collected by the client or their representative.
  8. Collection & Return Times: Sarto Alia is closed on Sundays and public holidays. Orders must be collected or returned:
    – Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 16:30
    – Saturday: 08:30 – 12:30
    Sarto Alia will not accept responsibility for uncollected garments and no refunds will be issued in such cases.
  9. Garment Fitting Upon Collection:
    – Clients must fit their garments upon collection.
    – Clients should ensure they are satisfied with the quality and fit before leaving. If there are concerns, they must notify staff so the issue can be addressed.
    – No refunds will be issued for garments that did not fit correctly or were not to the client’s satisfaction.
  10. Garment Receipt Verification: Clients must verify that they have received all garments invoiced to them. Charges will apply for any invoiced items not returned.
  11. Garments Not Worn: No refunds will be provided for garments not worn, including in cases of event cancellation or other circumstances preventing use.
  12. Buttons That Come Loose or Off: Sarto Alia accepts no responsibility for buttons that come loose or fall off. No refunds will be issued for such occurrences.
  13. Trousers That Split on the Seam: Sarto Alia accepts no responsibility for trousers that split on the seam. No refunds will be issued.
  14. Personal Effects: Sarto Alia accepts no responsibility for personal effects returned with the garments.
  15. No Refunds After Function: No refunds will be given after the function date.
  16. Late Returns: Garments must be returned within one working day of the specified return date. A late return fee of R500 per day per suit will apply thereafter.
  17. Damaged Garments: Clients are responsible for the cost of any repairs, as determined by Sarto Alia management.
  18. Unreturned Garments: Garments not returned within one week of the specified return date will be deemed unreturned. A replacement cost of R8500 per garment will be charged.
  19. Suit Bags Not Returned: R300 will be charged per suit bag not returned.
  20. Hangers Not Returned: R150 will be charged per hanger not returned.

Schedule of Charges for Late, Damaged or Unreturned Items

  • Late returned suit: R500 per day
  • Late returned jacket only: R500 per day
  • Late returned trouser only: R500 per day
  • Hanger not returned: R150
  • Suit bag not returned: R300
  • Buttons missing / loose: R50 per button
  • Trouser split on seam: R150
  • Lightly soiled garment: R1500
  • Excessively soiled garment: R8500
